Ascent Classical™ Academies Announces Opening of its Fort Mill Campus

Rock Hill, South Carolina • August 8, 2024

Ascent Classical™ Academies’ Fort Mill campus opened its doors on August 8, 2024, welcoming its first class of students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The school, led by Headmaster Condra, currently serves 260 students in grades K-8, with plans to add one grade each year until reaching K-12 matriculation.

The opening of its Fort Mill campus marks the first Ascent Classical™ Academies school to open and operate in the state of South Carolina, with plans to open six additional campuses in the coming years. This announcement is the latest milestone for ACA, founded in Golden, Colorado, where it successfully opened and operated four schools before expanding its operations to serve students and their families in South Carolina.

Ascent Classical™ Academies provides an American classical education, a model that centers on providing instruction in the liberal arts and sciences, including daily fine arts and physical education classes. Students wear uniforms and do not use technology in the classroom, instead relying on teacher-led instruction and content-rich, time-tested curriculum delivered in an orderly and disciplined environment.

As a public charter school, Ascent Classical Academy of Fort Mill is open to all students and will continue enrolling for the 2024-2025 school year through December 2024. Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open later this fall. Families interested in learning more about the school can visit fortmill.ascentclassicalsc.org to find an upcoming parent information meeting, review curriculum guides, and more.
