The South Carolina Department of Education recently awarded two Ascent Classical™ Academies schools in South Carolina with the Planning and Implementation sub-grant for $900,000, respectively, over the next three years. Ascent Classical™ Academy of Irmo and Ascent Classical™ Academy of Fort Mill secured two of the seven grants awarded for the 2024-2025 academic year.
“We are honored to be recognized by the state for our work to expand school choice options in South Carolina and bring a high-quality classical education to the Irmo/Chapin and Fort Mill communities,” said Derec Shuler, founder and executive director of Ascent Classical™ Academies. “This funding is a valuable aid in ensuring robust openings for the upcoming school year.”
Both campuses will open in August 2024 serving grades K-8, adding one grade each year until reaching K-12 matriculation.
