Ascent Classical Academies in South Carolina are governed by a regional board of directors.
The governing board oversees budgeting and spending, charter fidelity, compliance, and development for all Ascent Classical Academy schools in South Carolina. The board is accountable for the financial, legal, academic, and operational performance for the charter schools it oversees.

Grievance Process
Ascent Classical Academy is committed to maintaining a respectful and orderly process for addressing concerns. The grievance procedure begins with the classroom teacher, may then proceed to the appropriate school administrator, and can, if necessary, be elevated to the Ascent Classical Academies home office or the Governing Board. This process is intended to ensure that concerns are addressed at the most appropriate level and in a manner consistent with the best interests of the school community.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the complete policy in the Family Handbook, of which the most current version is linked on each school’s website. In the uncommon event that a matter must be escalated to the Governing Board, correspondence may be directed to sc.boardchair@ascentclassical.org.
